“There is no hiding my character now,” he said. Jalil acknowledges that expectations surrounding him have risen, and feels that 2013 will be a very telling time in his soccer career.
You can say that again.
He may not have been the fastest player on our squad, or the best defender, but he was fucking clutch. He was always there when it counted, and he never gave up. There was a certain ferocity to his play, and the strength of his belief, that I, for one, will sorely miss.
Add in the fact that he is a genuinely nice guy, and always had time for the fans? Yeah. We can sign another right back, but we can’t replace Dan Gargan.
